Five Things We Learned At The Last RedCat Multiverse AMA
Just in case you missed it, RedCat Multiverse hosted an interesting and exciting AMA last week on October 25, the one year anniversary of RCM Labs.
For the very first time, our founder, S. Binici Kaya, and our Creative Director, Matthew Grau, were joined by Daniel Aranoff, Economic Advisor/Partner for RCM Labs.
Here are a few of the highlights and takeaways from the conversation:
NOW is the time for upskilling and mastering new skills in a changing workforce landscape. Binici shared that new data says enterprises spend $20 billion on upskilling resources each year, but only 5% of those resources are used by the employees. Why? Because people just don’t want to go take another online course or spend time doing activities outside of work that aren’t fun and engaging. Adults learn by solving problems. They retain information through experiences. This is the foundation of the RedCat Multiverse. In the game, each player owns their own experience, creating empowered immersive learning.
When it comes to buying Inception NFTs, you’re going to want to get there early. RedCat Multiverse’s first public NFT collection (Inception NFTs, a.k.a. icNFTs) will be launching next month and we are all excited! Not only will holders get early access to the first phase of the private beta, which is also called Private Beta: Inception, they will also receive oodles of things they need to play within the Multiverse. For starters, once players dive into the RedCat Multiverse, their icNFT will morph into six additional character NFTs that each player gets to select for themselves. Here’s where that Early Bird concept comes into play. Those who are whitelisted to receive Early Bird access when purchasing Inception NFTs will receive 10 additional character NFTs when they enter gameplay, instead of six. That’s a huge advantage immediately granted to those early purchasers. But wait, that’s not all! Holders will also receive LIMITED play card NFTs that will never be available again, as well as a variety of game items like potions to regenerate your resources. These icNFTs pack a serious punch when it comes to game value, making them a solid buy for both gamers and investors.
Gain an early advantage by applying for the RCM Fellowship. There are basically two ways to get whitelisted for the icNFT sale. You can become a Pioneer RedCat through your involvement and engagement on our Discord server. OR, you can apply for an RCM Fellowship. See our Inception Page for more details.
A lot of serious intellect is going into the development of the RedCat Multiverse economy. Daniel shared that he and Professor Yildiz, the Chief Economist for RCM Labs, have been developing a game economy and tokenomic system for the RedCat Multiverse that stabilizes the price of NFTs to create a more predictable and steady environment for both investors and for those who are primarily interested in the gaming journey. They are focused on mitigating the extremes of booms and busts in order to give people more confidence in investing in RCM NFTs, which should increase the long term value of RCM NFTs. There are a number of tools they can use to accomplish this, including adjusting the number of figments sold at auction dynamically based on the prices that they are seeing, potentially adjusting splicing prices or implementing policies to create a stabilization fund that can be activated when figment prices fall in order to increase demand in the market. While there are serious challenges, Daniel said that they are working to incorporate different measures that can work together. They hope that the system they design for the RedCat Multiverse tokenomics will be relatively unique in the Web3 space in terms of there being a very detailed and thorough focus on trying to create a stable and predictable environment for investors and participants.
The game will provide a “pleasantly frustrating” gaming environment to create an engaging learning experience, to create empowered players/learners. Binici shared that the game will build a cycle of expertise in order to ensure that players not only learn but also retain the skills they master in the RedCat Multiverse. By empowering players to own their journey, that customized experience becomes a part of their identity. That’s why experiential learning is so effective, especially for adults. A well-designed game is ultimately a series of problems to solve. Those problems have to challenge us enough that we feel accomplished when we come to a solution. When it comes to learning, we actually need to be pushed outside of our comfort zone in order to adopt new learnings, so a gaming environment is a natural fit. In each universe of the RedCat Multiverse, players will be building a cycle of expertise by developing and applying a deep understanding of the skills they master.

It is especially important to note that in the game, each player owns their own experience, creating empowered immersive learning and you retain information through experiences.
