Looking For The Unexpected: How To Create A Successful Genius Submission
As we reward more and more Meerkat Bag NFT holders (more than 180 at the time of publishing), their Genius submissions are rolling in. Meerkat Bags NFTs are the building blocks for holders to create their own characters that will come to life in the RedCat Multiverse. These characters, called Geniuses, have the potential to earn royalties in this highly-engaging blockchain game.
Our founder Binici was inspired to create these rare on-chain NFTs in order to provide a way for people to be a part of the RedCat Multiverse by earning their place, rather than paying for it. And we wanted to truly co-develop this blue-chip project with the people who have been a part of the vision since the beginning.
With such earning potential created by a single NFT, it’s no wonder that our community members want to know how to create Geniuses that will be used often within the game. We want to help everyone maximize their potential for success in the RedCat Multiverse, so we’ve asked our Creative Director, Matthew, for some insight into what makes a good Genius submission. Here are the key takeaways.
The unexpected wins. As we continue launching new game characters on the RedCat Multiverse website, you’ll see that these characters are as creative and diverse as you can get. We have everything from a cuddly culinarian to an introspective plant. The possibilities for the RedCat Multiverse are endless, bound only by the limits of our own imaginations. So turn your creativity on full blast!
Incorporate the right characteristics. On each Meerkat Bag NFT, we list four character traits. These need to form the basis of the Genius created. We did this not to limit our holders but rather to guide them in their pursuit of a truly original character. Keep these traits in mind as you create your character and determine how they can fit seamlessly and organically in the character you are developing.
Brainstorm with our community. The RedCat Multiverse online community is incredibly active and involved. They are excited about the game’s potential and can be a great sounding board for your ideas.
Incorporate utility. While creativity, character traits and storytelling are of the utmost importance, it’s also good to present a strong case for how and why this character will be useful to others in the game. We know that much of the game is yet to be revealed, but use your personal experiences to shape how the character might be in high demand.
Include a solid explanation and purpose. Be sure that you explain your reasons for creating the character you did. Tell us why you think this character will be successful in the RedCat Multiverse and why others will enjoy the character you’ve created.
In a nutshell, we're expecting to see a lot of interesting ideas. We want to see the extraordinary and unexpected. Our multiverse is a land full of outlandish possibilities, so in order to fit in, they must stand out!
Don’t worry about making it perfect. Our design team will help to finalize the concept. Here’s an example. This is the first Genius profile selected to be a part of the RedCat Multiverse. “Mariko” was submitted by community member Lindemann on the 3rd of June, 2022. The Meerkat Bag belongs to Cohort #4. Congratulations Lindemann!
